Toronto Education Workers/Local 4400 Campaigns

Since its inception in 1998, Toronto Education Workers/Local 4400 has been waging campaigns to defend the public school system from the effects of successive provincial governments’ funding formulas, which do not provide adequate funds to operate Toronto’s public schools.

Toronto Education Workers/Local 4400 works to pressure the Provincial government to provide adequate funding and to lobby trustees not to cut back essential services and programs, which result in work overload and layoffs for our members.

We also work to elect public school board trustees who will defend our schools, our communities, and members against these cutbacks and closures.

In this section Toronto Education Workers/Local 4400 provides updates on current fight back strategies.
